Since the last election cycle, CICI has had great success in beating back numerous attempts to ban our industry’s products and processes, as well as stop stringent new regulations, expensive new energy mandates, workplace restrictions on who we can hire, and numerous tax and fee hike proposals. CICI fully expects attacks on the industry to continue into 2025 and beyond. However, our victories in the legislative arena may be short lived if even more progressive lawmakers are elected to the General Assembly.       

These same progressives will be allied with our usual opponents, who will be pressing their legislative agendas. Please do not underestimate the difficult battle we face. It is essential that we do everything possible to elect and retain moderate legislators who understand and support our industry as a vital part of the state’s economy.

With tremendous effort, CICI has been successful in stopping devastating legislation which would greatly harm our member companies. But now, more than ever, we need you to support our experienced lobbying team and donate to CHEMPAC to make our collective voices heard.

The reason we are writing to you today is simple: CICI must step up its game in retaining lawmakers and electing candidates which view our industry as a real benefit to the state’s economy.
