The Chemical Industry Council of Illinois (CICI), founded in 1951, is a non-profit association of the leading chemical and pharmaceutical companies with plants, laboratories, headquarters and/or sales offices located in Illinois.

CICI activities include programs in the areas of education, environment, government and public affairs. Council members meet regularly with selected audiences in these areas in an effort to promote a better understanding of the chemical industry and its contribution to Illinois.

Through its educational programs, CICI and ICEF have reached more than 100,000 science and chemistry students, as well as educators at the high school and college level. Special programs for these groups include: the Career Conference, the annual Davidson Award, the Science Discovery Program, the Chemagic Roadshow, teachers' workshops, Illinois State Science Fair awards, and a recognition and scholarship program that has provided distribution of over $200,000 in undergraduate scholarships and teacher awards.

please e-mail your comments from the CICI Home Page or call CICI at 847-544-5995.
